Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is an actor and comedian recognized for her witty humor. April Ludgate plays her on Parks and Recreation. The show's debut was The Jeannie Tate Show, a web series after performing sketch comedy and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. Her career continued with appearances in Funny People by Judd Apatow and Scott Pilgrim, vs. World. Celebrate her birthday! Aubrey Christina Plaza (born in Wilmington, Delaware) is the daughter Bernadette Plaza, who is an attorney by profession and David Plaza a financial consultant. Her mother was Irish and English as was her father, who comes from Puerto Rico. Plaza received her education from an all girls Catholic high school that she attended in 2002, and then the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2006. As a high-school senior she was President of the Wilmington Drama League and her school's Student Government. Plaza was struck by a stroke in 2004, while she was in the college. She was diagnosed with expressive aphasia. She also experienced briefly the paralysis. She's now completely recovered. Plaza has performed improv comedy as well as sketches at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. The New York location has seen Plaza been performing stand-up comics in The Improv as well as the Laugh Factory. Plaza was a part of E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show alongside Ben Schwartz and also the premiere Terrible Decisions episode. In CollegeHumor's Troopers, she played the Princess a satirical sci-fi character. In 2014, Plaza made her debut on the saxophone for the Cassorla film Bona Fide. The first time she appeared was in Father John Misty's Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings in 2012. HarmonQuest featured Plaza in 2016 in the role of Hawaiian Coffee the gnome.
