Aubrey Plaza, born on June 26, 1984 is an actor and comedian recognized for her witty humor. April Ludgate plays her on Parks and Recreation. The show's debut was The Jeannie Tate Show, a web series after performing sketch comedy and improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater Plaza. Her mother was Irish and English as was her father, who comes from Puerto Rico. As a high-school senior she was President of the Wilmington Drama League and her school's Student Government. Plaza was struck by a stroke in 2004, while she was in the college. She was diagnosed with expressive aphasia. She also experienced briefly the paralysis. She's now completely recovered. Plaza has performed improv comedy as well as sketches at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater since 2004. The New York location has seen Plaza been performing stand-up comics in The Improv as well as the Laugh Factory. Plaza was a part of E.S.P.N.'s Mayne Street as Robin Gibney, The Jeannie Tate Show alongside Ben Schwartz and also the premiere Terrible Decisions episode.
